Mechanical pipe plugs are available with a single or double ring, depending on availability. Sealing is achieved by tightening the spindle, which compresses the rubber rings and seals the pipe. The maximum backpressure that may be used is 0.3 bar. Mechanical pipe plugs are suitable for temporary sealing of smaller pipe diameters where there is little or no counter pressure.
